Prof. (Dr.) A. Subrahmanyam, M. A. (Sociology), M.A. (Political Science), M.L. (Constitutional Law) and Ph. D. (Constitutional Law). Joined in Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLUA) in September, 2023. Presently Prof. of Law and Dean, (Research), Doctoral and Post Doctoral Research Committee, MNLUA. Formerly founder Dean, School of Law, Vel Tech University, Chennai from 2018 to 2023, Served as Principal, University College of Law, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, 2013-16. Prof. of Law and Dean, Chanakya National Law University, Patna one year in 2016. He was a Senior Fellow, ICSSR, New Delhi for two years. Served as Professor of Law and also Professor of Political Science and Head, Lal Bahadur Sastry National Academy of Administration, (IAS Academy) Govt. of India, Mussoorie, State of Uttara Kanda for 6 years from 1997-2002 and 2006, Served as Dean, Students Affairs, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Head, Department of Law, Andhra University P.G. Centre, Srikakulam from 2003-2005. He has thirty-eight years of experience as Law Teacher in different universities.

He has Published 11 books in Law and Politics. Editor of book on ‘Judicial Activism: Dimensions and Directions’, published by Vikas Publishing House Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi for Government of India in 2002. He is a revised editor of a Book on Law of Transfer of Property authored by Prof. G.C.V. Subba Rao (Two Volumes) published first edition in 1944 and revised book published by Andhra Law Times, Hyderabad in 2019. Published nearly 60 Articles in various reputed Law Journals. He is a regular contributor to Annual Survey of India Law (ASIL) on ‘Property Law’, published by Indian Law Institute, New Delhi every year. Guided successfully 30 Ph.D. Scholars in Law and at present guiding 8 Ph, D. Scholars in Law. Guided 50 LL.M. Theses. He has assessed as an external adjudicator of more than 80 Ph.D. Theses in Law and Human Rights submitted to various universities in India.

He has conducted 25 Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Training Programmes on various subjects of Law and Politics. He has participated around one hundred National and International Conferences, Seminars and Workshops conducted on various subjects of Law, Politics and Social Science. He did his Ph.D. in Law on ‘Federalism in India: A Politico-Legal Study’ and got Gold Medal for the best Ph.D. Thesis by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in 1997. He got Best Teacher Research Award in Law from Andhra University in 2007. He Served as Co-Ordinator for many Foundational Courses and Induction Training Programmes for IAS, IPS, IFS and Central Services Group-I Officers conducted by the Lal Bahadur Sastry National Academy of Administration, (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, Government of India from 1997-2002 and 2006. He has delivered many invited Lecturers in Law Colleges, Schools of Law and National Law Universities in India. His major areas of Interest are; Constitutional Law, Federalism in India, Centre-State Relations, Right to Information Law, Good Governance, Administrative Law, Human Rights, Public Interest Litigation, Law of Evidence, Law of Banking and Environmental Law.
