Hon’ble Shri Justice Nitin Jamdar was born in Solapur into a family of lawyers, being the third generation to pursue a career in the legal field. His Lordship received education in different schools across Maharashtra, obtained degrees in Commerce and Law from Sydenham Commerce College and Government Law College, Mumbai.
His Lordship practised at the High Court of Bombay in diverse fields, primarily in Administrative and Constitutional Law. His Lordship represented various public bodies such as Zilla Parishads, Municipal Councils, Municipal Corporations, and Universities. His Lordship also represented the Bar Council of India and the High Court administration. His Lordship was Senior Standing Counsel for the Union of India.
His Lordship was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Bombay on 23 January, 2012 and became the Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Bombay on 31st May, 2023.
