Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakeem

Prof. (Dr.) Abdul Hakeem, Professor of Law, at MNLU-Aurangabad. He completed his Master’s degree in Law from the University Department of Law, University of Bombay, in the year 1990. He did his Ph.D. in Law from Kakatiya University, India on “Concept of Crime and Punishment in Islamic Law –A Jurisprudential Study” in the year 2003. He has specialized in Personal and Criminal Laws and has a teaching experience of more than 29 years, including 3 years of administrative experience as Principal.

He authored a book “Family and its Institutions”published by NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India and the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Hyderabad, India. He was the examiner for Post Graduate diploma course in Family Dispute Resolution conducted by NALSAR University of Law, and the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution. He was invited as a subject expert on Islamic Law in four episodes of Qanoon ki Baat (Talks about Law), one hour TV shows produced by ETV (a prominent Television Channel in India) which were telecast live in several countries. He has conducted several Moot Court Competitions and Seminars. He is interested in research and teaching different subjects in Law. He was the Foreign Examiner for Ph.D. Thesis evaluation for Aligarh Muslim University, India.

He was the Academic Advisor for the Department of Law, Supervisor of Graduation Research program for the Final Semester students, member of the Course Portfolio Preparation Committee, conducted online interviews of new recruits for the Department and also the Co-ordinator of the Quality Assurance Unit, College of Business Administration, Jazan University, Jazan –KSA.
