Prof. Dr. Y.F. Jayakumar is a well-known Academician in Legal education having a rich experience of Thirty-Five years into teaching, research, and academic administration. He is currently working as Professor and Dean, Doctoral and Post Doctoral Committee, Member of Executive and Academic Council, and Chairman of the Board of Studies in Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad from April 2020 to till date. Prior to joining of Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad he has served as Principal, Pendekanti Law College, Hyderabad (Law College Affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad). He has also been appointed to various academic bodies like University Grants Commission on various positions. He is also a life member of Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, Delhi. He has been a member on various academic bodies and boards including the Board of Studies, Telangana University and Board of Studies, Gulbarga University. He has been actively involved in designing and structuring of curriculum for different courses for University Grants Commission (UGC) and other universities. Because of his expertise in his subject, he is frequently called to deliver guest lectures at various institutes including Lalbhadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussorie (A premiere national level training Institute for the Indian Civil Servants) and Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad. He has been invited as a Chairperson and Resource person at various national conferences and seminars including Chairperson, National Seminar on Information Technology and Law Issues, Concerns and Challenges, University College of Law, Osmania University and Chairperson and Resource Person, ICADR Sponsored One-Day National Seminar on Recent Trends of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law, Hyderabad. Sir has played in a key role in successfully co-ordinating and conducting different exams. He has been appointed as a Regional Co-ordinator for conducting of LAWCET exams, in Hyderabad Area and Osmania University. He has been a judge to various International and National Moot Court Competitions including Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Stetson International Moot Court Competition. Prof. Dr. Y.F. Jayakumar has a keen interest in research and has published books and research papers in various national and international journals.
