Prof. Dr. Kondaiah Jonnalagadda

Prof. Dr. Kondaiah Jonnalagadda has more than twenty years of teaching and research experience. He joined as Professor of Law at MNLU-A (From July, 2018). Prior to this, he worked as Associate Professor of Law at National Law University, Odisha. He was also Director, Distance Education, NLUO, Swayam Coordinator, Convenor, PG Studies, Convenor Research and Development Committee at NLUO. He was also member of Academic Council, NLUO (2016-2018). He was also associated with National Law Institute University, Bhopal (M.P.) as Assistant Professor of Law (September, 2006-April, 2016). He also has association with the Dept. of Legal Studies, University of Madras as Student, University Research Fellow (2002-05), and Project Assistant in Chair in IPR, MHRD, GOI (2005-06,).

He was the Gold medallist in his Master of Law from University of Madras, In addition to this He was also recipient of various academic honours namely, i. L.C.Miller Medal 2002 (Gold Medal) ii. The Dr. A.L. Mudaliar Prizes 2002 iii. Justice M.N. Rao Prize 2002 iv. Best Student Award in M.L, (The Mylapore Academy, Chennai) (2002) and fellowships are i. 2002/2005 University Research Fellowship for pursuing Ph.D., University of Madras. ii. 2002/2005 Samburarayar Endowment Scholarship iii. 2003 Indian Council Of Social Science Research Study Grant and has also been Resource Person to the Institute of Distance Education, Madras University (2002-06) to deliver lectures on PCP programmes relating to Diploma in Law. Besides these academic and research endeavours, he has been participating in extra-academic activities.

He has been the Visiting Faculty to Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (2009), RMNLU, Lucknow(2009), KIIT, Odisha (2014), and the Institute of Company Secretaries Institute, Chennai (2005-06). He is also member National Indian Competition Experts- Cartel Working Group (NICE-CWG) 2020-2021, Competition Commission of India He was also vice-chancellor In charge of MNLUA (December 2018 to August 2019). Presently, he is member of General Council, Executive Council and Academic Council of MNLU-Aurangabd He has published two books namely a. Securities Law, 2015(Lexis Nexis b. Law Relating NRI Marriages (s. Gogia& Company,2009) His Areas of interest include, Private International Law, Corporate Law, Securities Law, International Law and Competition Law.

2003: Participated in the National Seminar on New Developments in International Law held on 26 &27 March 2003 at the Department of Legal Studies and presented a paper entitled "Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Private international Law".

2001: Participated in a National seminar on Intellectual Property Rights organized on 16-18 March 2001, at Department of Legal Studies, University of madras and presented a paper on "An overview of the Patents Protection in India and WTO".

2001: Participated in a National seminar on Constitutional Reforms on 21-22 March 2001, at Department Legal Studies, University of madras and also presented a paper on "Electoral Reforms and criminalization of politics".

2001: Participated in a National Seminar on National Commission to Review the Working of the constitution on December 6-9, 2001, at CLRI Auditorium, Chennai and also presented a paper on "criminalization of politics: An Analysis"
