Ms. Amruta Arjun Chavan

Ms. Amruta Arjun Chavan is working as a Faculty of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. She has more than three years' experience of teaching in law. Presently she is pursuing Ph. D in law. She has done graduation and enrolled as an advocate in 2014. Thereafter, she has done LL.M in First Class with Distinction and secured 2nd rank in Shivaji University, Kolhapur (Maharashtra), in 2016. She has qualified SET examination in law.

She has pursued Post Graduate Diploma Course in Human Rights (PGDHR) with First Class and Distinction. She has also pursued Post Graduate Certificate Course in Alternative Dispute Resolution (PGCADR) with Grade 'A'. While pursuing a degree and post-graduation, she has been actively participated in various co - curricular and extra-curricular activities.

She has actively participated and presented research papers in various seminars, conferences at national level, state level and presented research papers. She has written research papers which are published in international and national research journals. She has been conferred with many awards and honours for her academic achievements throughout her career.

She has been invited as a resource person, guest speaker in several academic programmes and also been invited as a judge in several National level Moot Court Competition. She has organized various national and state level events, FDPs in the University.

In addition to teaching she is also working as an Assistant Warden of Girls and a member of many administrative committees of the Universities. She is a part of the Center of Gender Justice, Center of Criminology and Victimology etc.

Area of Interest: Constitutional Law, Criminal Law - I, Jurisprudence and Legal Theory and Human Rights.
