
A techie turned legal pedagogue, Mr. Md. Yusuf Hayath is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLUA). He holds dual Masters both in LL.M with specialization in Constitutional Law from Post Graduate College of Law (Osmania University), Hyderabad and also M.TECH with specialization in IT (Network Systems) from VIT University, Tamil Nadu. He has cleared UGC-NET (LAW) as well as AP/TS/TN/KA-SET/SLET’s examinations in the year 2018. He is a recipient of ‘Sri Duvvuri Narasaraj and Duvvuri Narasamma Memorial Gold Medal’ in LLM-Constitutional Law for the batch 2018 received in 80thConvocations of Osmania University held on 17thJune, 2019 at Hyderabad. He has also completed a PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from NALSAR University of Law& Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
He is the current Chairperson of the IT Committee, MNLUA as well as the Chairperson of the Sports Committee, MNLUA and also an active member in other academic & administrative committees in various capacities. Before being a part of MNLU-Aurangabad family he has worked as Assistant Professor of Law in Pendekanti Law College at Hyderabad, visiting faculty of evening LLM batches at Post Graduate College of Law (O.U), Basheerbagh, Hyderabad and was also a former Software Engineer at UST Global (UST), UST Campus, Nila, Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Apart from Constitutional Law his areas of interests include Judicial Processes and Precedents, Administrative Law, Citizenship and Emigration Laws, Human Rights, International Relations, Environmental Laws, Cyber Laws & Cyber Security, Law of Torts and Gender Justice & Feminist Jurisprudence.
He was invited as Judge for the preliminary rounds 2nd Justice Dipak Misra National Moot Court Competition, 2021-22 held on 4thMarch, 2022. He was also invited as a resource person and has co-chaired a technical session for a seminar on “Transformative Justice and Indian Constitution” organized by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Dept. of Law, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on the eve of ‘Constitution Day Celebrations 2021’i.e. 25thNov’ 2021. He has also Co-judged the preliminary rounds of Intra-Moot Court Competitions held at Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad in July-August, 2019.
He has attended numerous workshops as well as presented and published ISBN/ISSN articles in various Universities and seminar conferences such as NLU-Delhi, Symbiosis Law Schools, Post Graduate College of Law (O.U) Hyderabad, Bangalore University, Banaras Hindu University, Kakatiya University, Utkal University, Osmania University, Andhra University, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s Autonomous College for Women Eluru, Government Law College Mumbai, ICFAI Law Schools, Amity University etc. He is a fernweh as well as a sportaholic especially in Lawn Tennis and game of Cricket & Chess.
