Prof. Dr. Kondaiah Jonnalagadda

Dr. Kondaiah has more than Seventeen years of teaching and research experience. He joined as Professor of Law at MNLU-A (From July, 2018).Previously, he worked as Associate Professor of Law at National Law University, Odisha. He was also Director, Distance Education, NLUO, Swayam Coordinator, Convenor, PG Studies, Convenor Research and Development Committee at NLUO. He was also member of Academic Council, NLUO (2016-2018). He was also associated with National Law Institute University, Bhopal (M.P.) as Assistant Professor of Law (September, 2006-April, 2016). He also has association with the Dept. of Legal Studies, University of Madras as Student, University Research Fellow (2002-05), and Project Assistant in Chair in IPR, MHRD, GOI (2005-06,) and has also been Resource Person to the Institute of Distance Education, Madras University (2002-06) to deliver lectures on PCP programmes relating to Diploma in Law. Besides these academic and research endeavours, he has been participating in extra-academic activities. He has been the Visiting Faculty to Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (2009), RMNLU, Lucknow(2009), KIIT, Odisha (2014), and the Institute of Company Secretaries Institute, Chennai (2005-06).

His Areas of interest include, Private International Law, Corporate Law, Securities Law, International Law and Competition Law.

Prof. Dr. A. Lakshminath

Distinguished Professor Emeritus

Academic & Administration Prof. Dr. A. Lakshminath is a rare combination of an erudite scholar, an astute administrator, a relentless researcher and a revered teacher in the legal fraternity. For the past 52 years, he served with single-minded devotion in the academia in law in multiple capacities across the country as Founder Chancellor, D.S. National Law University, Visakhapatnam (A.P.); and, Founder Pro-Chancellor Emeritus as well as Founder Vice-Chancellor, Chanakya National Law University. Prof. Lakshminath has rendered selfless service to the cause of legal education by strengthening both the Universities that continue to compete with 20 other National Law Universities as Centres of Excellence in Legal Education. He has been teaching Law since the year 1967 to thousands of students who became eminent lawyers, jurists, public figures, judges and academicians, among others. To date he has guided more than 550 LL. M. dissertations, 360 project reports, 92 Ph.D. degrees in Law and 9 LL.D. degrees which is a RECORD by itself. He has authored/coauthored 13 Books and 170 Articles in reputed Journals. He was the Editor of seven law journals of national and international repute.Prof. Lakshminath has served the cause of legal education in almost all parts of the country. Starting his teaching career in Nagpur University, Prof. Lakshminath later served as its Dean of Faculty of Law, and then taught at the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and served as the Principal and Dean of Law Faculty at Andhra University. He was appointed Professor-Registrar and Dean, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad before finally shifting to Bihar to establish and lead the Chanakya National Law University, Patna for 12 years. In a rare and unprecedented gesture the Bihar legislature amended the University Act to continue his dedicated services to the University for five more years after completion of Seventy years of age. In yet another unique and rare gesture the Government of Andhra Pradesh has reappointed him for a second term as Chancellor of D. S. National Law University of Andhra Pradesh. In between these major innings, he continued to enrich himself and the legal community – nationally and internationally. He was Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of Massachusetts, U.S.A., Fellow of Salzburg Seminar, Austria and Visiting Professor at Banaras Hindu University, and Guest Professor at Fort Valley State University, Georgia, USA, amongst many other universities and institutions. He has participated in more than 200 national and international seminars and symposia and has either presided over or delivered key-note addresses in more than 170 academic meets in India and across the globe including USA, UK, Japan and Europe.
Clinical Legal Education Prof. A. Lakshminath has contributed immensely to the clinical legal education by spreading legal awareness and organizing legal aid camps, amongst the masses, especially the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society throughout the country. As project director of the NHRC’s human rights literacy program, he facilitated publication of books on human rights in four South Indian Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada). As a senior consultant to the Andhra Pradesh government, he successfully completed projects on judicial process and good governance. As director of United Nations Development Program (UNDP), he organized several sensitization programs on Environmental Awareness in remote, far-off and inaccessible areas.
Social Cultural Prof. A. Lakshminath has relentlessly worked towards promoting sociocultural understanding and integration by heading voluntary organizations for the cause of communal harmony, linguistic minorities and consumer rights. He was president of cultural associations, cooperative housing society, consumer and environmental forums, and vice-president of Hindu Muslim welfare associations. He was visiting professor at National Fire Service College of India, Nagpur; and, L.B.S. National Academy of Administration, Mussorie, etc. He was the founder director of Department of Legal Studies in Dr. Ambedkar College, Deeksha Bhoomi, Nagpur.
Awards & Honors Recipient of many awards and honors, Prof. A. Lakshminath was conferred Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award in 2012 for SAARC countries for his long and distinguished services to legal education and legal profession, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Education Award in 2008 and Lifetime Achievement Award by International Educators for World Peace, Alabama, USA in 2007. It is very appropriate to quote Padmashri N.R. Madhava Menon, with “There are few legal academics still serving the cause of legal education with devotion and commitment credited to Prof. A. Lakshminath. As a teacher, he excels in class and is admired by students for clarity of expression and depth of learning. As a colleague, law teachers take him as an elder brother who can be approached for help in resolving difficult legal problems. He has become an institution by himself.” Prof. A, Lakshminath served as a member, Bihar State Law Commission, and member, Accreditation Committee of Legal Education and the Directorate of Legal Education of Bar Council of India. He was Executive Member of the Commonwealth Legal Education Association; and member of the Governing Council of the Indian Law Institute. He was Governor on the Board of Governors of Doon School, Dehradun.


Dr. Ashok Panditrao Wadje

Dr. Ashok Wadje is Asst. Professor of Law at MNLU, Aurangabad. He has done his Ph.D. degree in Cyber Crime Law from Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune and has cleared National Eligibility Test (N.E.T.) in Law subject. He has completed his LL.M. from Symbiosis International University, Pune specialising in Business & Cyber Laws. He is having more than 7 years of teaching experience in law field. Before joining MNLU, Aurangabad he was working as Asst. Professor of Law in National Law University, Jodhpur (NLU-Jodhpur). Besides academic accomplishments and achievements, he has published many research papers & articles in Journals and Books of national as well as international repute.
He was also invited as Resource Person and Panelists in various Conferences and Seminars in India. He has participated in various Training Programmes organized for Law Teachers in National Law Universities. He has also participated in several Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Refresher Courses and Faculty Development Programmes. He has also been actively involved in number of Community Lawyering Programmes and Legal Aid, Services and Pro-Bono activities. Activities such as research work on Geographic Indications (GI) for the GI Stakeholders, Indo-American Project on Legal Aid and Legal Services in collaboration with City University New York, New York Law School, on the Rights of Sex Workers. As a part of the community lawyering he has also worked in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, District & Sessions Court, on several projects of Legal Aid and Legal Services, in the Marathwada region. Also, he was called upon to impart the training to practicing Advocates on various aspects of Cyber Law and Cyber Crimes through Continuous Legal Education Programme for the Lawyers by Bar Council of India. His areas of interest and research are Cyber Laws, Family Laws, Jurisprudence ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Mechanisms and Legal Aid and Legal Services activities (Pro-Bono legal aid & services activities).
At MNLU, Aurangabad, currently he is holding various responsibilities apart from Teaching such as, Registrar In-Charge, ADR Cell, Legal Aid & Legal Awareness Committee, Wardenship for Boys Hostel, and is also Editorial Member of Republic Law Review, a flagship Journal of MNLU, Aurangabad.


Dr. Tanaya Tarai

Dr. Tanaya Tarai is the Officer on Special Duty for academics at MNLU-Aurangabad. She has more than Seventeen years of teaching experience. Previously, she served as the Vice-Principal of Ganjam Law College. She has done her Ph.D. in Law from Berhampur University, Odisha. She has taught courses like Contracts, Administrative Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, etc. She has a number of publications in reputed law journals on topics like Copy Right to Computer Software a Legal Studies, Rights or Curse in Disguise, Abuse of Position and Rights of Girl Child, Protection of Rights of Migrant Labours- With reference to Odisha, The National and International Norms and Treaties for Old age Protection, Identifying Common Strength for Legal Aid and Legal Empowerment to strengthen Access to Justice in India, Supreme Court rules over cooling period for divorce under Hindu Marriage Act, Free legal Aid in India & Role of Judiciary, Martal Rape:A Comparative International Legal Studies, Advantage of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility): A Case Study on Development programme in Tribal Areas of Odisha and Jharkhand and also authored several books dealing with the issues of women, children, and South Asian Trade Laws & Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade to her credit. She was also working as Legal Officer in a Sri Lanka bassed company, served as Social Worker for the Lok-Adalat cases and associated with the District Legal Services Authority as a Trainer to the PLVs.


Md Yusuf Hayath

Asst. Professor of Law

Mr. Md Yusuf Hayath is an Asst. Professor of Law at MNLU-Aurangabad. He holds a LL.M with specialization in Constitutional Law from Post Graduate College of Law (O.U), Basheerbagh, Hyderabad. He has cleared UGC-NET as well as AP/TS/TN/KA-SET/SLET’s examinations in the year 2018. He has completed PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from NALSAR University. Before being a part of MNLU-Aurangabad family he has worked as Assistant Professor of Law in Pendekanti Law College, Hyderabad. His previous experience includes helping students in Moot preparations as well as Legal Quiz preparations. He is a recipient of ‘Sri Duvvuri Narasaraj and Duvvuri Narasamma Memorial Gold Medal’ in LLM-Constitutional Law for the batch 2018 on 80th Convocations of Osmania University held on 17-06-2019 at Hyderabad. He has done LL.B from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Apart from Constitutional Law his areas of interests includes Judicial Processes and Precedents, Law of Torts, Human Rights Law, International Relations, Citizenship and Emigration Laws, Administrative Law, Environmental Laws, Gender Justice and Law Relating to Women. He has attended workshops as well as published ISBN/ISSN articles in various University conferences such as BHU, Kakatiya University, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Utkal University, Osmania University, Andhra University etc. He is a fernweh and also a sportaholic especially in Lawn Tennis.


Ms. Neha Tripathi

Asst. Professor of Law

Ms. Neha Tripathi specializes in Constitutional Law and Human Rights Law. She is a graduate of NLIU, Bhopal and School of Law, KIIT UNIVERSITY. Before joining MNLU, Aurangabad, she has taught courses on Jurisprudence, Mining Law, International Human Rights Law, Media Law, International Criminal Justice and Human Rights at NUSRL, Ranchi and School of Law, Sharda University. When she was in her second year, she interned under Prof. G V Ajjappa (Adjunct Professor), NLSIU, Bangalore. She has published various articles in peer-reviewed journals, books and presented papers at national conferences, on various issues of Constitutional Law and Human Rights. She received an award for the paper on “Power to Grant Pardons: Controversies and Contradictions” presented at a Conference “The Vista of Constitutional Law”, organised by Colloquium Opus, at National Law University, Odisha in 2011. She also received Researcher Award for being member of the winning team, 29th Bar Council of India Moot Court Competition. She was also adjudged 2nd (Runners Up), in the Law Quiz, conducted as a part of 11th Justa Causa Law Festival, organised by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Ms. Neha has been actively involved in various centers and committees as faculty member during her assignment at NUSRL, Ranchi and School of Law, Sharda University. She was the Faculty Convenor of Moot Court Society and Library Committee at Sharda University. She has also organised various National-level competitions and conferences like 3rd Anand Swaroop Gupta Memorial Moot Court Competition, organised by School of Law, Sharda University in 2018.


Soumya Rajsingh

Ms. Soumya Rajsingh has done her B.A, LL.B (Hons) From National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam with International Law and Business Law specialization and completed her LL.M in International Law from Faculty of Legal Studies, South Asian University. She was the holder of South Asian University Merit scholarship for the year 2016-17 and 2017-18. Ms. Rajsingh takes an immense interest in emerging legal dynamics. Her area of research and teaching Interests are Public International Law, Transnational Commercial Law, and International Commercial Arbitration, International Trade Law, Conflict of Laws, International Investment Law, International Environmental Law and Human Right Law, Constitutional Law and comparative constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Commercial Laws She has extensively work on the topic, “ Jurisdictional Aspect of Cross Border Insolvency; a critical analysis of the Indian Legal system.” in her LL. M Dissertation. She has a number of National, as well as international publication, also participated in a number of conferences. During her Law school, she went under number of internships, including Judicial, Industry and Different Research centers.


Ms.Sakshi Gupta

Sakshi Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. She graduated from USLLS, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi in 2018 and completed her Masters in Corporate Law from National Law University, Jodhpur in 2019. She cleared UGC JRF- NET exam in her first attempt while pursuing LL.M. She has been a gold medalist throughout her schooling and University. She has won and participated in various Moot Court Competitions and also has numerous paper publications in reputed journals to her credit. Her areas of interest include Competition Law, Mergers and Acquisitions.

Ms. Mahenaz Azizul Haque

Ms. Mahenaz Haque is the Assistant Professor of English at Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. She has done her graduation and post-graduation in English Literature from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. She cleared SET in 2016 in first attempt. She holds an M. Phil. degree from Gondwana University, Gadchiroli (Maharashtra). She has taught English at graduate and post-graduate level. She has keen interest in extra-curricular activities. She believes in encouraging students to use English language as a means of communication in order to give voice to diverse ideas and opinions, conducive for social interaction.

Rahul Pandurang Kosambi

Rahul Pandurang Kosambi completed his graduation from Mumbai University and M.A. (Sociology) from Mumbai University. He completed NET. He was awarded Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar 2017 for his book ‘UBHA- AADAVA’. He is pursuing Ph. D. and the area of his research is “New Dalit Middle Class: Negotiations, Identity and Politics.” His interest involves study of caste- class and religion in socio- political processes and moments in India and Maharashtra. He has published extensively on these topics regularly in reputed Marathi Journals.

K.Vinay Kumar

Mr. K. Vinay Kumar, faculty of Political Science in MNLU-Aurangabad. Before Joining MNLU-A, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Political Science in GITAM (Deemed to be University) for three years. He is presently pursuing Ph.D. from Osmania University on Chinese strategic expansion in South Asia. He did his Masters in Political Science from Andhra University in the year 2013-15 and received Prathiba Award from the government of Andhra Pradesh. He has also received D.V. Subba Rao memorial award from Andhra University. He did his post graduate diploma in environmental studies (PGDES) and Post graduate diploma in English language and linguistics (PGDELL) from Andhra University. He cleared his UGC-SET and UGC-NET in the year 2015. His areas of Interests are India’s relations with neighboring countries, maritime security issues and terrorism.
